This thing is BAAAAAAADD! We are patiently waiting for its Friday arrival, and it is difficult to be with the specs on this gun.

Custom Lothar Walther barrel, 1:7 twist, CMV, Mid-length gas system, 14.5″ OAL, Fluted, Taper profile, dished Target crown, Melonite finish inside and out, Nickel Boron coated M4 barrel extension.

NP3 coated lower receiver, upper receiver, Billet trigger guard, 7075 Mil-Spec buffer tube, and Forged charging handle.

Nickel Boron coated Light weight ball dimpled M16 BCG. Ionbond coated gas rings.

Nickel Boron Coated ST Battle trigger.

Titanium Dynacomp, Ti anodized and pinned for 16″ OAL. Titanium Adjustable gas block, Ti anodized, w/ Iconel gas valve.

Custom Stippled Magpul furniture.

It’s not cheap, but it will be the last rifle you would ever need to own

Colt 6940P piston M4 carbine

Colt has been talking about their piston gun forever and they have finally shipped some to us. We had two available, but one never even made it out of the box before it was gone.

Here is what Colt says about it:

“The new LE6940P puts to use a new, improved version of a piston system that Colt originally pioneered for the U.S. Army,” according to David Ridley, Colt’s vice president. “Now, any civilian shooter or law enforcement professional has the opportunity to shoot using this superior piston-operated AR.”

The advanced piston carbine (APC) is a lightweight alternative to the traditional direct gas impingement system found in most ARs. The LE6940P’s piston operating system reduces inherent stress in the piston stroke by allowing for deflection and thermal expansion. This allows greater accuracy and extended life for the rifle.

The LE6940P measures 35 inches with the stock extended and weighs about six and 1/2 pounds, the LE6940P was designed to be lightweight to reduce shooter fatigue. A one-piece monolithic upper receiver provides ease in assembling parts, disassembling and cleaning. The 5.56mm, magazine-fed carbine has a semi-automatic rate of fire of 700-950 rounds per minute. Chambered in .223 Rem (5.56×45 NATO), this rifle has an effective range of 600 meters (or 1,968 feet).

The LE6940P’s one-piece monolithic upper receiver assists in mounting optical systems. In order to enhance the shooters’ versatility in both close quarters and long range, Colt has also incorporated a back-up iron sight (BUIS) and a folding front sight.

GLOCK Gen 3 Models in Flat Dark Earth

Want one? It will be a while before we get more, so call or come by and get yours. The primary weapons systems long stroke gas system coupled with their enhanced buffer tube and FSC30 muzzle brake causes the recoil pulse to feel more like you are shooting a 77gr 5.56, not a .308. PWS did it right by designing their MK216 to accept MagPul LR PMAG’s instead of some proprietary design that makes additional mags expensive and hard to find. I own one of these personally and find it a delight to shoot.
