“Valley Operational Wear is the continuation of an uninterrupted manufacturing tradition of excellence started in 1959. We were founded with a mandate to develop a World Class Armor Company to address the evolving needs of America’s Military Operator, Law Enforcement Officer and First Responder. Our heritage is deeply rooted in serving the Military and Law Enforcement Community. This manufacturing heritage started during the Korean Conflict, continued on through Viet Nam and now into the Iraq and Afghan Wars. Through this time we have manufactured and delivered millions of personal protective apparel items to the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Community.

As more and more manufacturing is moved “off-shore”, Op Wear continues to be deeply committed to “Made in America”. We are Small Town America and as we have grown over the past 50+ years have remained loyal to our community, customers and employees (a trait that has become increasingly rare in society).

Our manufacturing facility is still located in Knoxville, TN and encompasses over 65,000 square feet. It is comprised of a multi-building complex that employs 200+ people, many of whom are second generation employees. With growth we had to expand to an additional location in Clinton, TN. This facility is 66,000 square feet and houses the body armor production, as well as additional protective clothing lines.
